Dogspell is a collaborative effort of the mother/daughter team of Monica and Megan Dong. All of the captivating illustrations were done by Monica while Megan contributed the heart-felt poems. The final product is this 66-page book consisting of 32 illustrations and poems. Each illustration is of a different dog breed, including the German Shepherd, Basset Hound, Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, Siberian Husky, Parson Russell Terrier, to name a few. 狗朋久友 is the Chinese version of Dogspell. You will find the same exquisite art work of dogs in the English Dogspell. Although some of the 32 Chinese poems are inspired by Megan's English poems, they are not direct translations. This masterpiece is solely crafted by Monica. 狗朋久友 also contains her autobiography which is not in the English version. If you are a fan of Monica's radio program, you will appreciate the same quick wit and humor in the Chinese poems.
